Hot

Think i’ll buy a small fan for when i’m in the office. It’s just too warm at my desk. I shouldn’t be sweating at work. 😦

Weekend

It’s been a little while since I updated.
I guess there’s just not much to say these days. Or at least publicly.

During the trip back from Baltimore, and I were listening to Fear the Boot, which is an RPG podcast.
It got me thinking about Shadowrun again. I should really look into getting that off the ground.
Not that it would be that hard, and I suspect I was spending too much time on the little details while forgetting the whole RPG bit.
I’ll try..I promise 😀

This weekend Tara and I are wandering about looking at garage sales for, well, whatever really.
I could find some cool cheapo stuff for the house, and that would be good.
Not just junk, I have enough of that, but actual useful stuff.

And I suspect we’ll be playing Katamari or GH 80’s at some point this weekend.
Oh yea, I got Guitar Hero 80’s Encore. Haven’t tried it, but there’s finally some Iron Maiden for the PS2.
Oh, and apparently DragonForce is gonna be in GH3. My fingers asplode!

I apparently have a meeting right now…but no one seems to be here.
Oh well.
Ah, it’s Monday now, that’s why no one is here.
Why am I here?

I suspect I’ll go see The Simpsons on Wednesday since it’s free popcorn night.

Signed up for new net access at half the price. And I think the speed is better too. Don’t know why I didn’t do this long ago.

Returned my Rogers equipment, and now I don’t have to pay them. Woot!

I’ve missed a lot of radio shows lately. That’s life I guess.

Now, now I’m just rambling ^_^

Otakon – Done and Done

Today was the last day of Otakon.
Not much going on really. The usual last trip to the dealer room, and it got to the point that if I stayed in there any longer, I would have just ended up buying crap that I didn’t actually want.
So I fled.
Saw some cool anime/video game music being done live.
It was all nice symphonic type music, but I was rather tired and it nearly put me to sleep.
Then, as they were wrapping up, they did the Mario stuff. I was soooo happy ^_^

Then we had a late lunch at the slowest place evar!
It was kinda awkward, as hald the party had to leave to deal with paperwork. But they got back in time to finish lunch.

After that, since the con was over, we headed up to ‘s cousins place(I think) to chat with them and have dinner(free Chinese – Woo!).

Just getting into the hotel, stupid tired.

Long day of driving tomorrow, but we don’t have to get home at any specific time so we can sleep in a little.
That’ll be nice.

I suspect I’ll be working from home Tuesday ^_^

Not sure if we’re coming back next year. The general consensus is that it’s too far to enjoy. Or something like that.
Oh well, at least I made it this year.

Maybe AnimeExpo next year. But that involves flying, so it’s really hard to say.

Never know…

Otakon Day 3

I think. It’s a little confusing.
As yesterday was a full day, and at AN, that’s usually Saturday.
But today is Saturday.
Anyway.
I think I spent a little too much time/money in the dealers room today. Finally found GITS, and I honestly think it was the only one at the con.
Yay Me!
Also bought a couple more prints from the girl that does http://nosesoptional.comicgenesis.com/. I just like her style.
They really buggered up the schedule, so we ended up missing some cool things. But not totally missing it, so that was almost more annoying.
Missed the industry panels this year, mostly because I couldn’t be bothered to get up and out in time.
No biggie, if I need to know, I can look it up.

Dinner was good. Not great, but good. Mind you, it did take us a little long to get there. I think it was about 10 before we got out.
Tried to go to this 4-chan thing, and it was completely filled up.
Not even sure what it is…

Now we’re trying to book a hotel for tomorrow, and it’s actually more expensive than this one.
But I don’t think we have to pay for net access, which is good.

Well, I should pack or something.

arg…lolcat

Your Score: Sad Cookie Cat

57% Affectionate, 46% Excitable, 55% Hungry

You are the classic Shakespearian tragedy of the lolcat universe. The sad story of a baking a cookie, succumbing to gluttony, and in turn consuming the very cookie that was to be offered. Bad grammar ensues.

Otakon Day 2

I bought a lot of stickers today.
In fact, I bought mostly stickers.
I got some silly Transformers things, a GaoGaiGar dvd, and stickers.
Actually, I got this nice cute Bubblegum crisis print from artist alley, and half the stickers I got were from there as well.
They were cute ^_^

Walked a lot today, and of course I forgot my new sneakers.

The only good places to eat are about 15-20 minutes away, and that kinda hurts.
Yea, I’m lazy, but I like being lazy sometimes 😛

Also saw some interesting panels. http://www.little-gamers.com/ were both funny and strange, but the audience didn’t have any good questions.
http://www.megatokyo.com/ was better than I thought it was gonna be, but his “oh I suck so bad, why do you like me” attitude/act is starting to get to me.
Actually, it’s already gotten to me, it just got to me more.
There were a couple of other panels of people that I can’t remember right now, but they were cool too.

Tomorrow is a lot of industry panels so that should be cool.

Trying to take pics today, I realise that I should invest/invent a portable tripod/platform thing.
It’s too easy to shake when taking pictures.

Anyway, more for tomorrow…

otakon day 1(ish)

and I arrived in one piece around the 7:30 mark.
For the most part the trip was uneventful. That’s not a bad thing. There was a thunderstorm that seemed to be following us, but we eventually outran it.
Stopped to get some fresh fruit because you can’t take that kind of thing across the border.
Left later than I thought we would, but it took us all of 10 minutes to go through the pre-reg line, so that’s all done and over with.
didn’t arrive until much later(after midnight) so he has to go through that tomorrow.
We’ve decided that, whomever wakes up and is actually moving first will call the other.
I suspect that’ll be me. Mind you, he is a father, so he might not sleep anymore 😛

There’s actually things I want to do here, which is kind of first for me.
Mind you, there’s also no free internet, so that really sucks. But $10/day isn’t thaaaaat bad.
I might be able to split it with , we’ll see how that goes.

Anyway, must sleep….
