One of the few, if not the only, perks of high risk pregnancy is that we get to have a lot of ultrasounds.
Ok, it’s the only perk, if you can call it that.
Regardless, we’ve had three in the last three weeks. It’s interesting to see the baby that much, but, I’m starting to think the baby thinks it’s some kind of game.
Last week, the tech was just doing overall pictures of objects, not actual measurements. Some rule about doing them two weeks in a row. Well, everytime the tech had a decent picture of something, the baby would turn. Almost on cue.
Then the tech would do her thing, and the baby would move. Or, in the case of our wonder child, it would start playing with it’s toes, itching it’s face, and generally giving the tech a hard time.
Tara and I just looked at each other and knew that it was our child 😉
So as of the last ultrasound, Tara is upgraded again in terms of bed rest. She can now do whatever, but has to spend a decent portion of her day lying down. It’s a bit of a relief to know that she’s so stable in terms of the pregnancy.
We still don’t know the sex of the baby, but we’re trying out different names. If it’s a boy, we know it’s going to be William. But William what? Well, we tossed around a ton of names, and somehow got to ones like Theadore or Terrance or something like that, and then it clicked. If we did that, then his initials would be WTF! And that would so work for me 😀
But no so much for Tara, so the naming goes on.
