Car Shopping – Round 1
Tara and I went on an impromptu test drive of the Kia Spectra 5 and the Toyota Matrix.
The Matrix is a gutless wonder. Too bad really, it was out in the front running. Mind you, I have no idea why 🙂
It’s nice and comfortable, but it’s got nothing under the hood. And it’s overpriced for what you get.
Starting at 20K without AC?
And if I get AC, it’s still more for cruise.
Nickle and dime.
The Spectra5, which was nicely priced and had some zoom.
It did remind me of a cross between the golf and a Swift.
Nicely laid out, but all plastic and cheap feeling.
But hell, it started at 3K less with all the perks.
So it’s a thought.

Hey, my wife is leaning towards us getting a mazda 5 for our next car-car. Is the back seat roomy? You know, for our three demon-spawn?
–Cent, need more overlords.

haven’t actually looked at the Mazdas yet, but I did see the Kia Rondo(dumbass name) and it seats 5-7(the back two seats totally fold down for extra trunk space) and I suspect it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than anything Mazda has.
I’ll have to look into that. If it comes in red, I could call it ‘The Rondo of BLOOD!’ and get somebody who can do art to put some sweet Castlevania imagery on it.
–Cent, fnord.
