Den
I have a den.
It’s not much of a den, but it’s a den.
Actually, I changed the chair, still a fold up, but it has a footrest, and is much more comfortable.
I used my den last night to do a bit of reading. Wow, I miss reading. I do a little, and I mean little, before bed, but I’m generally tired enough that I don’t get a lot in.
This way, I can sit, relax, and since I’m not on the couch, the urge to fall asleep is diminished.
I’m hoping to make this a normal Tuesday activity.
Dog training is, going. I want to say it’s going well, but I’m not sure just yet. Keeping in mind that it’s really just day two, I can’t expect miracles. ^_^
She does seem to have some basic training and knows various hand signals(as was proved by my sister-in-law) so it’s looking good.
Like all dogs though, a lot of it is getting their attention long enough to follow the command after the fact.
It just takes time and patience.
Also tried a different approach to grooming her. See, the old way was too much like a game, and while it seemed to work, was actually kinda frustrating.
I had her stand on a table(she’s not a big fan of that) and tried to groom her that way. I had a couple of bonus cookies to take her mind off things, but as soon I let go of her collar, she was off.
We’ll try again today, as I think this is the best way to do things.
Yesterday was cool enough that I could take the dog on a decent walk. Good for both of us really.
Still tired. Not sure if it’s my job, my bed, or just me?
In one respect, I hope it’s me or the job. Mainly because beds are expensive. The job will be changing soon, which should generate some excitement, and me, well, I could just be in a funk.
I have a feeling that DVDSoon has finally walked off with my money.
I’ve emailed them a number of times, and phoned a few times, no response from either.
Today, their site is showing a 500 error(could be nothing really), but I’m starting to read more and more online that people just aren’t getting their stuff.
I want to give them the benifit of the doubt, that maybe, MAYBE, they’re just really behind on their orders, but they can’t even bother to email back. I do start to worry.
I’m out 5 DVDs at the moment…

I haven’t bought anything from DVDSoon since they, er, changed ownership, or whatever that was about. I actually got the stuff I ordered after that, but I hear I’m one of the lucky ones.
A guy from CTRL-A is looking into doing something or something. According to the comments on his page, the lights are off and nobody’s home. Lately I’ve been sticking with amazon.com (hurray, 90¢ dollar!) and conventions.
Well, I’ve requested my money back(credit refund) so we’ll see how that goes.
Yea, I was reading that page JUST before making the post ^_^
The thing is, I got 2/7 DVDs, so someone is doing something, I just don’t know what.
Matt (that’s Matt Skala) is maybe a bit more liable to see something sinister in all this. I’m just assuming they just ran out of money. So they’ve probably done what they can, but if they can’t pay the rent or their employees or their distributors, you’re not going to see all that many DVDs shipped out…
