Free Music Friday
Hey all!
SO this is the first in a series of weekly things that I’ll be doing, and I’d like to start off with free music for you all to borrow.
The trick here is that this music will be available until next Friday, or until I get a better host with more room.
Anyway, let’s get this show on the road.
DragonForce – Through the Fire and Flames:
Discovered on usenet, it was just a whim.
They call themselves Extreme Metal, which pretty much covers it. To put it differently:
speedy speedy weedly weedly!
And, and you’re not going to believe this, the singer doesn’t suck!
I know, it took my by surprise as well, but I’m loving it!
Babyland – Structure Fall:
The best way to describe them would be a garage industrial band. Not an easy sound to pull off, and I’ve tried.
Nothing fancy, nothing to technically challenging, just lots and lots of noises.
Good stuff.
Rancid – Sidekick:
Being the first time doing this, I had to include my namesake.
Yea, this is how it happened. There are lyrics that fit with my name instead, and it just stuck.
Supersuckers – Then I’m gone:
Combo of Pandora and emusic to find these guys.
I was in a rock n’roll kinda mood, and it worked. Can’t remember how I started this Pandora thread, but these guys showed up and it was love at first sound.
Skinny Puppy – Improv two:
This is a ‘live’ improv from CBC Radio show sometime in the 80’s. Not sure of the full details, but I reckon that they just turned on the machines and played along.
I’ve always wanted their stuff just to toy with. I want to know what I could do.
Anyway, this is a fun mix.
So there you go.
A little of this, a little of that.
I should probably take requests. Although that makes it sound like radio, but whatever.
So if there’s stuff that you want to hear that you’d think I would have, let me know. I’m sure I have something like it.
Enjoy!
