Gary Gygax
So I’m sure everyone’s heard by now, but Gary Gygax has died at the age of 69.
I suppose now is the time to recall a fond D&D memory.
Mine happened early on. We had made the jump from D&D to AD&D and I actually had a character that made it from adventure to adventure.
However, there was this business about constant sex changes. Not really sure what was happening there.
Don’t remember his/her/his/her/his/her class(fighter or Paladin I think) or his/it’s name, but I remember good times with this character.
That sounds kinda dumb.
I suppose it’s better to remember that I was playing AD&D with all the other kids on my street.
All 5 of us 🙂
When we weren’t playing with He-Man, GI Joe, Transformers, matchbox cars or whatever toy of the week we had. And they say kids today are overstimulated 😉
I don’t play much anymore. Actually, I can’t even remember the last time I did play. Any RPG for that matter.
I think it was a quick one off about 5 years ago.
The main problem being of course is that no one local want’s to play. I wonder if I should find some kind of club, but then I wonder if I could do that anyway. I’m not overly social.
I was going to start that online Shadowrun thing…I should look into that again.
Right soon like.

I can’t begin to imagine how much time I wasted with the red box set, making characters over and over again… despite knowing no one who played. 🙂
I remember you were one of the crew that inducted me into AD&D.
Makes me want to chase down a copy of Lejendary Adventure, or some of the recent stuff he did for Troll Lord Games…
