Good god it’s ugly in there.

Sure, you can change a whole bunch of stuff, like the colours, background, etc etc.
But ya know what?
There’s 0 documentation on how to do it.
Not to say that LJ is much better for that.

Also, the backend configuration, it could be harder.
In LJ, just poking around will let you find things, and there’s an extensive Help section.
