Interesting
So I get this call from a guy in Barrie regarding a job in Bermuda. He got my name from Shayne and I guess Shayne said some nice things. Anyway, the job required ISP experience so I didn’t get it.
BUT, he asked for my e-mail address so that he could send his contact info and I could reply with my resume.
In his e-mail, he said he went to the site(mine) and had a look around and rather liked it.
He did what? It never occurred to me that recruiters might actually be VISITING my site!
I wonder if this is why I’m still unemployed. ^_^
So, to say the least, this thought frightened me, so I changed all my contact info on the job boards to my Rogers account. I might be over reacting, but then again I might not be!
Not that I mind that people visit the site, hell, that’s why it’s here. But some people might get the wrong impression of me from reading the site.
I’m a nice guy.
Really I am.
And I like to work.
I just don’t do a lot of it.
For money that is.
Help.On other news, I’m still on my Sinatra kick and just picked up a 2 CD set of his greatest hits. This would bring my Sinatra CD total to 6. The only other group that I think I have more CDs of would be Skinny Puppy. Or maybe New Model Army. Still a stretch, but a closer one.Oh, and I finished Medal of Honor. I got to drive a tank ^_^ Excellent game, with only a few annoying flaws(how many Nazis can you fit in a building anyway?). I would recommend it to anyone who liked that sort of thing.
And since I finished that, I needed something else to do so I started playing with FlashMX. Still trying to figure out the little annoying bits in that(how do you delete a symbol?) but it’s been fun. I should have an animation soonish. I just need to find music and sound effects. Also, Gundam Seed 6 is available, I just haven’t gotten it. I really want to get it, but I’m lazy. 7 should be out soon.Other than that, I’m updating the website….

You know… Back when companies were fat with the money of stupid investors and hiring every warm body they stumbled across, I got a few emails from recruiters based off my web page. It’s kind of weird, because there’s never been any sort of ‘hire me!’ stuff on my site. I contemplated putting up a resume once, but that’s about it…
I’m trying to figure out the whole Flash thing. I guess I assumed it would be easier than it is, or I’m just missing something. I broke down and bought a book on the weekend. It’s not really helping.
Let me know when you get something working. I might pester you about how you did it. ^_^
Just so everybody does know – I do in fact have my own pseudo-blog. So you can see even more incoherent ranting! Whee. And I wouldn’t say replaced. PCMCIA is such a small form factor 😉
Nope. You guys are just going to use Flash to make more of those damnable pop-up porno games that… wait. Oh all right ;-)Of course I’ll never be able to see what you create as I’ve still not got flash running on anything. But that’s no surprise.Ah, PCMCIA, how could I love anything but you?B.
Finally! Victory over PCMCIA! Working setup on my Slackware laptop! Posting this from aforementioned laptop!Very happy about this in case you didn’t notice. And I think my posting in the comments regularly ought to persuade people that Bill is the leet master etc.Cheerios,B.
One might think that you should have your own blog ^_^But I’m glad about your PMCIA. You’ve been complaining about it for some time now.And I am 733+.
God I’m tired of working.More to follow – end of class.B.
I think I have been replaced by a PCMCIA slot. how ignoble.
I’m approaching it like a video editing program, only completely different. Some parts are working(like making animation) and some parts don’t(like having a million symbols when all I wanted was two). IF it works out, I’d be happy to help, but I’m just stumbling through it as it is.
