Red Dawn
Watched most of this last night on Spike.
I say most of if because I know there are bits and pieces that they cut out. I was kinda hoping that they wouldn’t, they seem to be more of the Maverick type of station, but alas, it was not meant to be.
When I was 10 or so, and saw this movie for the first time, I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread (and I really liked sliced bread at the time). I watch it now, and I didn’t realise how poorly acted the whole thing was and the unlikeliness of the whole movie.
It seems that these kids get more and more weapons, which I suppose is possible(raids and the like) but they make some of the worst “ambushes” ever know to military history, and they get away with it.
It wouldn’t be so bad if they just had the AK47s, but they have machine guns that require large bases and put them in obvious doorways and then do the ambush.
No.
However, this was a really great cold war movie, and I really miss that kind of “the worlds coming to an end” style of movie making.
Not that I wish for another cold war, but boy, did it ever make for some good entertainment ^_^
