Something New
So since my main site has been disconnected from this great force that we call the internet, I needed a backup blog site.
I started with blog.ca, and it’s not bad at all.
Then my friend, , set up this Syndicated Account doflingy called which apparently just feeds off the RSS stuff from blog.ca.
Confuses the heck out of me, but I’ve never used the whole RSS thing,
and I assume that it’s easy enough to understand, I just don’t want to
think about it right now ^_^
So, since he has a LJ account, I thought that I’d make one just for
fun. I suppose this will now be my official backup, and I’ll probably
post to both
But then again I may not, it all really depends on what happens in the future.
See, I always do things just because they sound neat at the time, but
then after awhile, I get bored, things get forgotten, and I carry on
with something else.
This happens alot!
So here I am, another LJ guy. woot.
Oh, and I’m not liking the rich text mode, they really need to work on
that. Sounds like a good idea, “Hey, I can add friend links!” Yes, you
can, but you can never LEAVE THE LINK!
I guess it’s really just designed to add spice after you’ve done the
main post, but I can’t help but think that, with a little useful
tweaking, it could become a powerhouse all it’s own!
Or at least not annoying.
But that’s just me.

w00t!
RSS rulez. All the cool kids are doing it.
Are you trying to use the web based editor thing? I’ve never done that. I like semagic, the livejournal client for Windows. It’s a bit kludgy, but it’s a lot easier to use than any web form thing…
Welcome!
I see you’re using Semagic now… It’s pretty cool (don’t move it from drive to drive though… or if you do, shut it down to edit the registry entries for drafts and previews! Not that I suppose that comes up often, but…).
Overall, I’m finding things relatively easy and pain free. Should make your blogging goal that much easier to accomplish (and there’s spell checking — always a plus! 🙂 )
I wonder if flying_squirrel gets referral points at any time… Probably not unless we shell out (which I don’t have the cash or motivation for at present… sigh!).
Keep us posted!
Matt, good to know non the less ^_^
I started to wonder about the whole points thing myself, and figured it couldn’t hurt to put his name down. At least, I think I did…
I just wonder if that tool thing will allow me to reply to comments with it, that built in spell check is super handy ^_^
No, not by the looks of it. That would just be too cool.
I’m going to see if I can tie both sites together somehow with some magical string. If nothing else, it gives me something to do ^_^
I get nothing. Nothing! Those ungrateful bastards.
