All Nighter

Too old for this crap.
Well, that may not be the case, it could be a few things. I’m always tired on a Sunday, I probably should have gotten a nap in before starting this, and generally, for what ever reason, watching Anime on a couch makes me sleepy. Didn’t get NEAR as far as I wanted to, watched the first 9 eps, and honestly, with various tea/coffee combinations, I probably could get another 9 in, but really, it’s just not worth it. My bed is comfortable, and it’s calling.
So, the only person that I disapointed was myself, but really, it’s not an issue.
Besides, I like sleep, and it’s my vacation, so I can watch as much/little anime as I want.
And it’s possible that my Linux box is a source of spam. I was checking the router logs, and it seems that the Linux mochine has been sending a lot of traffic over the smtp port, which is strange, since I have NO mail programs running, server or otherwise. So I blocked that port with the Linux Firewall, and all should be good for now. All I have to do is somehow check for trojans, and then hopefully kill them, or I could simply re-install, with a min of apps, learn how to lock it down properly, and then learn some Apache security. This sounds like a long project, and not something that I’m going to attempt right now. This week maybe, but since I use web-mail, killing the smtpo port on that box is no big deal.
Well, off to bed, talk at you later.
I don’t know why I do this stuff to myself.
First the novel thing, now, since I’m on vacation, I’m going to try and watch all of V Gundam in one sitting. Not that V Gundam is bad or anything, but it will be about 23-24 straight hours of anime. To make matters worse, I seem to get sleepy these days while watching anime. So it’s a bit of a double challenge.
I don’t know why I do it, but it seems to make my little life a little more interesting. That and I’m way behind in the writing, but I have a week to make it up. What I have to do now(other than to watch Gundam) is to do a little planning, something I’ve been avoiding for no apparent reason. Just a little planning, just to keep me on some sort of track. I have to admit I’ve made it to 7000+ with no real plan, but now it’s hit me that I need one. Nothing in depth, but just something.

The other news is that we’ve been told we’re spammers. Some complaints have been logged at our ISP that possible spam is coming from our IP address. This is irritating because we’ve spent the past two days doing scans, trojan and virus, checking for logs, talking to the ISP, and so far we’ve found NOTHING!
I suppose it could be that someone is spoofin our address, and we haven’t gotten any complaints since Thursday, so it could have been one day. It just irritates me.
I guess I’m going to keep updating the site with random reports during the marathon, so if you’re REALLY bored, then you can toon in and I’ll update…or something.
