Normal
I should have thesidekick.ca back to normal by the end of the day. I have the server all set up, and we’re set up the firewall to kill any outgoing smtp packets from my machine. It won’t stop hackers from invading the machine, but it should stop the outside world from receiving spam from that machine, and that’s more important at the moment.
In terms of what people might have been filtering that might have been coming from me, it seems to be mostly investor news. I’d really like to get my hands on these bastards, but what are the odds?
Anyway, I think the machine is good enough to bring back online, and if it isn’t, then I’ll take it back down, change some things, and bring it back up again.
Well, that’s my sob story, such as it is. Back to writing, I’m only 10,000 words behind right now…
