Wedding Tomorrow
On the upside, it’s not mine.
However, I do have the rings.
I’ve put them with the suit so that I don’t loose them. That would suck, and would be the kind of thing that I might accidentally do.
With weddings come family, and with family come…a lot of family ^_^
I should be working on the toast tonight, and making little notes for myself because I’m likely to forget something in the toast if I don’t.
It’ll be a simple toast, I’m not much of a word person, especially in front of people.
My part of the wedding will be simple. Lead my mum to her seat, give someone a ring, sign some legal document, and I’m done.
Oh right, the toast.
See, mind like a colander.
And pictures, have to look good for pictures. But at least that’s before the wedding.
With any luck the weather will hold.
We’re doing pictures before the wedding, which is a bit of a switch, but I think in the end will look better.
I’ve stood in that church before, and in a full suit, we’ll all get a little hot and stinky, and strangely enough, stink shows up in wedding photos ^_^
No doubt it will go off without a hitch and everyone will have a good time.
I just finished the toast. Short and sweet and to the point.
But all true.
I’ll post that tomorrow night if I’m sober.
That’s a big if ^_^

Coincidentally, I stumbled across a website to help people write horrible, horrible best man speeches today. You know, if you feel inclined…
Best wishes to the happy couple. 😀
A hearty congratulations from me too!
(It doesn’t seem that long ago… Geez! Now I just sound old! 🙂 )
Ladies and Gentlemen, my name is Bill, I’m Matt’s elder brother and, after years of explaining it to him, the best man.
I’d like to start by thanking my parents, Bill and Jackie, and Vanessas parents, Bob and Jennie, for inviting us all here to share in this special day.
I’d like to thank the bridesmaids for looking as lovely as ever and my fellow groomsman for looking equally dashing.
Matt, you are the best brother a person could ever ask for; caring and kind, patient and always there.
Vanessa, I can’t think of anyone else who I would rather have as a sister, for you bring joy and happiness into everyones lives, and most espicially into Matthews.
Everyone, please join my in wishing the Bride and Groom a lifetime of happiness together, and to have plenty of children so that the dogs can play with someone their own size!
Aw. Nothing to make elderly relatives go “Well, I never!” but I suppose it’ll do. 😀
No, I think my grandmother has a weak heart, and that just wouldn’t do. It also didn’t help that I really don’t know that many embarassing stories about my brother.
However, his friends did, and they let loose!
I was about to say that no one is more surprised to see him married than I am, but really, over the years, he’s developed into a “want to settle down” kind of guy.
As long as he can party hard from time to time that is ^_^
But yea, not so long ago he was so young.
Not so long ago we were all so young…
Now I do feel old…must read more comics….
