What a day
Today was one of those days when it was looking like nothing was going to go your way.
Things were piling up in the morning, I was working so heavily on one thing that all the other things started to slip.
And to make it worse, I wasn’t getting anywhere on the first thing, so it was almost for naught.
But I couldn’t stop!
I had to get it done. Even after I told my boss that I might have to hand it off to someone, I still worked on it!
Or at least thought about it.
Then I put it aside.
I focused my rage and my frustration at other customer issues, the aforementioned things that were slipping.
I got myself up to date on most of them, at least the ones that were bugging me the most, and they all seemed happy enough.
Then, while sitting on the can, I had a flash of brilliance!
Or at least a good enough thought to carry me back to the first project.
I hacked and I slashed and finally, success! It worked!
Woot!
I then proceeded to hack at it some more, and even more success!
It was like I punched a little hole in the damn, persisted, and Whoosh! A whole lot of good happened.
I felt so great by the end of the day I didn’t know what to do with myself.
So I ordered Chinese.

And that came to you while on the can did it? *ccg*
Congratulations!
Sounds like a good day! (If you get a spare, let me know… 🙂 )
There’s a lot to be said for quiet contemplative areas…
