What are you watching?
Jen reminded me to watch The Walking Dead. Well, the internet reminded me that it was on, I downloaded it, and Jen reminded me to watch it. To say the least, it was the best zombie TV show I’ve ever seen. It’s also possibly the only zombie TV show I’ve ever watched 🙂
But that didn’t stop it from being amazing.
Let’s face it, zombies movies are really about two things:
- People that are dealing with the conflict
- Makeup
The Walking Dead had greatness in both. I don’t want to spoil anything, but they do a good job in making you feel for the people. Some zombie movies are just about the makeup and the gore. There really wasn’t that much gore, just enough 😉
This leads me to think about the other shows that I’m watching. Some new, some old, but let’s go with the new shall we?
Detroit 187
Good cop show with just the right amount of cheese to make it watchable. And it’s got Shaun Majumder, which is always fun.
Boardwalk Empire
Nice replacement for the Sopranos. And for the most part it’s the same cast, just a different time period.
Blue Bloods
Show about a family of cops. Watched some of this, not a whole ton, but what I saw I liked.
The Event
Really wanted to get more into this show, thought it would fill the void of Lost. Just really haven’t had a chance to watch it. I’ll get to it 🙂
Sym-Bionic Titan
I have to say, that of the new shows, this one is really cool and has me interested. The character design is by Genndy Tartakovsky, who is well known for Samurai Jack and Dexters Lab. It’s a great giant robot series that knows the source material it’s borrowing from. I watched the 4th episode this morning and there were even Die Hard elements. It’s a great watch for Giant Robot fans 🙂
And that’s really about it for new stuff. What are you watching?
